Two 1890s Old Wooden Cemetery Crosses

Both carved crosses are from the same family, probably two sisters. Despite the many flaws in their lettering, one can still read ‘Marie 1889’ and ‘Helen, died on December 1887 10th’. They are mounted on a contemporary steel base preserving their original patina and giving these objects all their emotional charge.
